Ingredients

  • spirit

    Juniper-forward gin with citrus and herbal botanicals.

  • liqueur

    Clear cherry liqueur made from marasca cherries. Floral, slightly funky.

  • liqueur

    Floral violet liqueur. Defines the Aviation.

  • fruit

    Always fresh-squeezed. Tart and aromatic — bottled juice does not compare.

Method

  1. Combine gin, maraschino, violette, lemon in shaker with ice.

  2. Shake 12 seconds.

  3. Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

  4. Drop in a brandied cherry.

Garnish

  • Brandied Cherry

About this drink

Gin, maraschino, lemon, crème de violette. The violette gives it that pale blue tint.
