Ingredients

  • spirit

    Spicier and drier than bourbon, made from a mash of at least 51% rye grain.

  • liqueur

    Italian-style fortified, aromatized wine. Rich, herbal, lightly sweet.

  • bitters

    The classic gentian-based aromatic bitters. A few dashes deepen everything.

Method

  1. Combine rye, vermouth, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Stir for 25 seconds.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.

  4. Drop in a quality cherry.

  • Maraschino Cherry
