Ingredients

  • spirit

    A barrel-aged American whiskey distilled mostly from corn. Sweet, oaky, with notes of vanilla and caramel.

  • liqueur

    Chocolate liqueur — clear or dark.

  • other

    Boiling or near-boiling water.

  • mixer

    Whipping cream. Used in dessert cocktails.

Method

  1. Pour hot chocolate into a mug.

  2. Add bourbon and crème de cacao.

  3. Float whipped cream.

  4. Grate nutmeg.

Garnish

  • grated — Nutmeg
