Espresso Martini

Ingredients

  • spirit

    Neutral, clean spirit. Lets other ingredients speak.

  • liqueur

    Rum- or neutral-spirit-based liqueur infused with coffee. Kahlúa is the classic.

  • other

    Freshly pulled, double shot. Quality and freshness are non-negotiable.

  • Simple Syrup

Method

  1. Pull a fresh double of espresso.

    Cold espresso will not foam. It must be hot when it hits the shaker.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with plenty of ice.

  3. Shake hard for 15 seconds.

  4. Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Float three coffee beans.
