Ingredients

spirit
Neutral, clean spirit. Lets other ingredients speak.

liqueur
Rum- or neutral-spirit-based liqueur infused with coffee. Kahlúa is the classic.

Freshly pulled, double shot. Quality and freshness are non-negotiable.
- Simple Syrup
Method

Pull a fresh double of espresso.
Cold espresso will not foam. It must be hot when it hits the shaker.

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with plenty of ice.

Shake hard for 15 seconds.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe. Float three coffee beans.
